Privacy
Paidtime keeps your work on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics and no advertising.
Last updated 1 October 2026.
What the app stores
Your projects, clients, rates and the time you worked are saved in a file on your Mac. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app's data removes them.
What the app looks at
To know what to count, Paidtime checks which app is in front and how long you've been away from the Mac. If you allow it, it also reads which document or project is open in your work apps, and which website is open in your browser for projects with website rules. This is used only on your Mac, to tell your projects apart. Browsing history is not kept.
What leaves your Mac
Nothing, unless you choose to send it:
- Bug reports. When you send a report from the app, it goes to us by email with what you wrote, your email address if you added one, your macOS and Paidtime versions, and Paidtime's recent log. We use it only to fix the problem and reply to you.
- Exports and sharing. CSV files, PDF summaries and the recommend link go wherever you send them.
This website
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address to send you one email when Paidtime is ready. If you arrived through a friend's link, we count that visit with their code, without anything about you. The site has no tracking or analytics. Ask us to delete your address at any time.
